Often, I’m introduced as my business name ‘CRZyBest’ and that’s great, because I am Claire R. Zwozny-Bestwick.
Working from my CRZyBest Shedquarters in Derby, about 5 minutes up the road from Banks Mill, I am a non-traditional, eco-friendly Silversmith and Sculptor; creating tiny sculptures in silver, copper and bronze which I turn into the ready to buy jewellery, gifts and accessories you can see at Open Studios and on my website. I welcome bespoke commissions and I’m always excited to take on special requests; recent commissions include bespoke earrings, anniversary gifts, hair accessories and multiple pieces for interior design installations.

My favourite material to create in, is metal clay a relatively new material created using reclaimed metals and organic binder: which once fired turns into the metal version of itself. I use 950 Silver clay that once fired in my kiln, can be hallmarked as 925 sterling silver and I am registered at Goldsmiths Hall in London for this if my creations weigh over 7.78g. My copper clay, when fired in a special two-part kiln firing turns into pure copper, which I then polish, and heat treat to create the fascinating colours you can see in my creations.

I offer bespoke 1-2-1 workshops, for you to come and create your own ideas, in your time, in my Shedquarters.

All CRZyBest gift boxes are made from recycled material and have an eco-fibre insert, I also plant a tree for every purchase made.
