My lifelong passion has always been the natural world, and this is reflected in my preferred subjects, wildlife and landscapes, though I do often paint domestic animals (like guinea pigs or sheep!). Buildings mellowed into their environment also appeal to me.

Watercolour is my favourite medium – I love its delicacy and spontaneity; it lends itself well to atmospheric landscapes and to detailed animal studies, and, with the addition of some pen work, to illustrate the unexpected beauty of the very small. Whatever the subject, I always try to capture the essence and ‘spirit’.

I’ll take commissions, pets or buildings, also can offer workshop sessions to small groups or one-to-one.
