My name is Sue Russell and I am the weaver behind Peak Gate Textiles.

I was drawn to weaving when I discovered that the great wall hanging tapestries that can be seen in various stately homes were woven not stitched.

I now have a BA (Hons) in Textile Design from the University of Derby and am studying for a PhD around Masson Mills in the Derwent Valley. I continue to produce beautiful woven pieces of art for your walls. You don’t need a stately home size space for these woven artworks, but large pieces can be made on commission.
