Paper-cutting and fabric
Forth Floor
1.2
Skillfully layering hand-cut paper with colourful and textured fabrics to illustrate my ideas, without the need to use any paint.
The viewer can experience a different picture from afar – with the details and structure of the work revealing themselves as they get closer. I am careful to leave white spaces in between the colours to provide a breathing space which is important for the colour balance of the image.
You will find an exuberant mix of street scenes, nature, landscape and seascapes and even still life amongst her work.
My distinctive style is a combination of a passion and knowledge of textiles since I was a teenager, together with a career as a freelance graphic designer and map maker for the publishing industry.
